Jack Skille scored again and Adam Burish got his first NHL goal last night but it was not enough for the Blackhawks to get the win as they fell to the San Jose Sharks 3-2.

The Blackhawks can now continue running their "Red Rising" advertisements after winning their fourth in a row this weekend, finally righting the ship after an eight-game losing streak earlier this month.

The Blackhawks have a two-game win streak going after beating the St. Louis Blues Wednesday night 6-1. The team needs to put a good string of wins together to counter the eight-game losing streak they’re coming off of and they are on the right track.

The Blackhawks added one more to their losing streak Friday night as the Minnesota Wild came to town to beat Chicago 5-2, putting the losing streak at eight. But Sunday night the Hawks were able to top the Nashville Predators in overtime, 3-2. It was a big win for the morale of the team.

There has been a lot of excitement in Chicago claiming the Blackhawks are on the rise. The billboards shout "Red Rising" all over the city. But here the Hawks are in 13th place in the Western Conference and currently riding a six-game losing streak--their longest of the season--after falling to the Montreal Canadiens in overtime last night 4-3.

"Seven games," said head coach Denis Savard referring to the current Blackhawks losing streak. "Seven mother-effing games. If this keeps going I'm gonna have to fire myself."

The Blackhawks will pick first in the 2007 NHL draft after winning the draft lottery held behind closed doors in Toronto. The lottery is supposed to be just that: a random lottery. But one anonymous NHL official we'll call Gary B. admitted that they were rigged.
