Hawks to honor Chelios and play him on third line tonight against Detroit

Retired defenseman Chris Chelios will be honored by the Blackhawks tonight before they take the ice against the Red Wings, another of his former teams. In addition to honoring Chelios, the Blackhawks will add him to their third line for the foreseeable future.

Avs’ Fleischmann wins 2011 Hart Trophy after two-game stretch against Blackhawks

Colorado's Tomas Fleischmann is a rather average hockey player on a rather average hockey team but based solely on his last two games -- both against the Blackhawks -- he was awarded the 2010-2011 Hart Trophy as the league's most valuable player.

Flyers prove Crosby isn’t God after all

Hockey fans nationwide breathed a huge sigh of relief Tuesday as Sidney Crosby and the Penguins were knocked off the pedestal of a 12-game winning streak losing to rival Philadelphia Flyers. Huet sending sarcastic texts to Turco after each Crawford victory

After a Blackhawks victory against the Stars last week, former Hawks starting goalie Cristobal Huet sent current goalie Marty Turco a text message sarcastically congratulating him on a victory with backup Goalie Corey Crawford in the net.

Turco asks Huet for advice on handling backup role

The 2010-2011 campaign has been a rough one so far for Marty Turco, the Blackhawks goalie and main free agent acquisition coming into this season. Turco, a seven-year starter for the Dallas Stars and former All-Star, was deemed the starting goalie immediately upon his signing, but has seen significantly diminished playing time recently. Corey Crawford, a guy most Hawks fans have no idea started a few games last year, has been the man between the pipes for five of the Hawk’s previous six games.
