If there were any doubters that the Bears were for real after three games, they smothered any reservations with a dominating 37-6 win over the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks.

A day after Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens survived an alleged painkiller overdose, Bears receiver Mushin Muhammad was found unresponsive at his residence, apparently from popping too many vitamins.

At a site traditionally seen as a house of horrors and a really ugly one at that, the Bears pulled out a rare win at the Metrodome Sunday. The defense came up big as usual. Adawale Ogunleye recovered a Chester Taylor fumble to set up a last-minute Rex Grossman 24-yard strike to Rashied Davis for a 19-16 win. The Bears (3-0) took sole possession of first in the NFC North with the win.

Just a month ago, Bears fans were wondering what had happened to their 2005 NFC North Champion team, so did General Manager Jerry Angelo. Rather than wait to get results, Angelo decided to take matters into his own hands.

The trash-talking Detroit Lions didn't exactly back up their words Sunday afternoon versus the Bears, but they did manage one impressive drive, the first of its kind against the Bears defense this season. It resulted in Jon Kitna's one-yard TD scamper that cut the Bears lead to 17 points. Chicago held on to the lead however, winning 34-7 at Soldier Field.

With the Detroit Lions looming, Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera decided to give his defense the week off. Rivera doesn't seem worried about the Lions offense, which scored a total of 6 points in their week one loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

With his huge contract and bad attitude it's no secret Cedric Benson is having a hard time fitting in with his Bears teammates. However, nobody could have ever seen the latest chapter in this saga coming.
