The disastrous 2017 season has barely ended, but the Chicago Bears front office is hard at work looking for the next coach they’ll fire in three years.

“There are a lot of great candidates out there,” said GM Ryan Pace, who just had his contract extended three seasons. “This is where we have to ask ourselves: ‘Which of these guys is the perfect coach to fire after three mediocre seasons?'”

Pace said the ideal candidate will be the best scapegoat despite being given a team with glaring holes throughout, like this year’s club which had an awful offensive line, an anonymous receiving corps, and a terrible $18.5 million quarterback to start the season.

“Finding someone like this to coach the team will be tough,” said Pace. “It’s probably the only way it’ll be tough to replace John Fox.”
