The city of Chicago estimated that five million people attended Friday’s Cubs World Series parade and rally. That figure was disputed by at least one White Sox fan.

“Five million? No way!” said Joe Malonecki of Tinley Park. “I am sure it was 4,999,998 at most.”

Malonecki said he didn’t watch any coverage of the festivities, but remained confident the estimated attendance came up short of five million.

“You couldn’t pay me enough to watch any of that garbage,” said Malonecki. “Everyone knows the 2005 White Sox were the best team in baseball history, so why would I bother wasting any of my time on the Scrubs?”
