In a new partnership that will give hockey fans an unprecedented look into the lives of their favorite players, EPIX and the NHL have teamed up with the Chicago Blackhawks as part of this year’s “Road to the Bootycall Classic.”
This truly riveting special will show outsiders what life is like for an NHL player as he deals with the challenges of meeting groupies when he’s out for the night. Viewers get to watch their beloved Hawks live and in person as they close the deal with girls in town from Iowa to see “The Big City of Gosh Yeah” as well as when they just randomly drunk text some of their casual side pieces, presumably from The Drake Hotel.
For this special event, all players have been equipped with the 4k30 Hero4 12MP / 30 fps Burst Silver GoPRo. Viewers get to watch in HD as their Hawks swipe left and right on Tinder, and witness when the players take to Twitter as a way to get women to show up to bars, especially the classy corner taps in Lincoln Park.
The 4-part special, which will begin next week in between EPIX’s standard programming of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and low-budget Russian horror movies, will be shot at the following locations:
Episode #1 Optimism at Division and Rush St
Episode #2 Art majors and sorority sister mayhem at Wicker Park
Episode #3 Dollar Mimosa night for nannies in Wrigleyville
Episode #4 Hope is Lost? Castaways at North Avenue Beach
