In yet another sign the movie Back To The Future Part II may have been more prescient than we all realized, new Cubs manager Joe Maddon was spotted riding a hoverboard on Waveland Avenue Monday afternoon, just a few hours after his introductory press conference.
Avid fans of the Back To The Future franchise know that the movie predicted two things would come to pass in 2015: hoverboards and the Cubs sweeping their way to a World Series title.
“It’s obviously gonna happen,” said Cubs fans Bill Benson. “First we sign an awesome new manager and now he’s riding around town on a freaking hoverboard?! Next thing you know they’ll come out with shrinking jackets and diners where you can ride exercise bikes while your order is taken by a video of Ronald Reagan!”
