Against the wishes of their captain, several Blackhawks players have flown to Los Angeles to crash the parade of the newly crowned Stanley Cup Champions Kings.
Defenseman Duncan Keith was one of the confirmed Hawks players who made the trip.
“It’s a bunch of us,” said Keith. “We’ll be in our jerseys too. Smitty, Seabass, and me actually just booked the tickets. We’d like as many of our great fans to join us as well. We’re bringing Chitown to Tinseltown.”
2013 Conn Smythe winner, Patrick Kane on the Hawks plans. “I’m not really sure what’s happening. I guess some of the guys were talking about going to LA for some parties. I was like, Score!”
Corey Crawford, the Hawks goalie seemed most adamant on attending. “‘Craw-ford, Craw-ford.’ Do you remember those chants? I do. I will most certainly be there. The championship belt is already packed in my carry on bag. Also I’m bringing several water bottles. They’re filled up with more than backwash if you know what I mean. I personally plan to spray as many of their so called fans as I can. And yes, to answer your question. There will be a speech from me this year as well.”
