Brewers fans greeted maligned slugger Ryan Braun with a standing ovation Monday upon his return from a 65-game PED suspension last year.
Fans said they forgave Braun after repeatedly denying the allegations, even after failing a drug test he tried to dodge by accusing the sample collector of being an anti-Semitic Cubs fan.
“So ‘Braunie’ told a little fib,” said Brewers fan Stanley Repcowitz of Mequon. “We forgive and forget here in Wisconsin. It’s not like he took a poop in my cheese curds or something.”
