Even though his Clippers made the playoffs and weren’t eligible for the NBA lottery, GM Neil Olshey made an appearance at the event Wednesday night, saying it was “for old time’s sake.”
“I’ve been with the team for a long time, and it just feels so odd that we’re not in the lottery this year,” said Olshey, who is reportedly interested in the Blazers GM vacant job. “It’s kind of like when a guy gets out of jail and can’t stand the freedom so he commits another crime to go back to prison.”
Added Olshey: ” The NBA lottery is my own personal prison. Well, that and working for Donald Sterling.”
