The Blackhawks were able to sneak another victory last night and have now royally screwed up their draft pick after beating the Nashville predators 3-2 in a shootout.
Only three games remain on the schedule for the Blackhawks and Thursday is their final home game against Detroit. It’s also Fan Appreciation Night and with any luck, owner Bill Wirtz will use that night to show true fan appreciation and announce that he’s sold the team to someone who actually cares about success and not just about liquor sales. Fans would most assuredly feel appreciated if that were to happen.
Star winger Martin Havlat, who has 57 points in 56 games this season, suffered a shoulder injury and will miss the remainder of the season. The oft-injured Havlat has shown what he’s capable of doing on the ice this season, but has also shown that his reputation as being “frail” may not be a fabrication.
Number of the Night: 3
Only three games to go.
