Less than two weeks after awarding Tiger Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his unlikely Masters win last month, Donald Trump has revoked the award citing Woods’ inability to make the cut at this weekend’s PGA Championship.
In a tweet, Trump wrote: “The Presidential Medal of Freedom is meant for Winners. Not loosers who don’t make the cut at their first big tournament right after I give them this monumental award. Such a Disgrace!”
The home to this year’s PGA Championship is the notoriously difficult Bethpage Black in New York, a course Trump claims to have tamed numerous times in a follow-up tweet.
“They said Beth Page Black is extremely hard. Wrong! I routinely shoot well under par there. Not 5 over Par like Tiger just did. Just another reason Woods never deserved my Medal in the first place. Loser!”
