Heading into the last day of the draft with four picks remaining, Bears GM Ryan Pace announced that he’ll be choosing nothing but kickers to finally stifle speculation that they’ll be reuniting with Robbie Gould.
“I get it, Gould is the best kicker ever and I never should have let him walk, but c’mon,” said Pace. “There’s no guarantee we’d have beaten the Eagles with him. We had 52 other guys on our team.”
Pace said that to help end the constant chatter about Gould he’s planning to use the team’s remaining four picks exclusively on kickers.
“I don’t even know who we’re going to pick,” said Pace. “I’m probably just going to Google ‘Best Remaining Kickers in 2019 Draft’ and go from there.”
