Following the end of the Bears’ Week 1 heartbreaking 24-23 loss at Lambeau Field, Matt Nagy expressed regret that he didn’t try calling one more bubble screen.
“I know they weren’t the prettiest plays, but I could tell each one-yard gain by Taylor Gabriel was really wearing down the defense,” said Matt Nagy at his post game press conference. “I really feel like I let the team down, and especially Gabriel. He worked hard, he took a lot of hits, and I just know that if we threw him one more bubble screen 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage, he would have broken the game open.”
At press time, Nagy was also expressing appreciation towards Vic Fangio for not giving up on Prince Amukamara after he got beat by Davante Adams two plays in a row.
