Bored with the monotony of playing baseball with vision, Cubs’ second baseman and no-look-tagging extraordinaire, Javy Baez, will play the 2018 season blindfolded.
Baez, who engages in more no-look activity than a teenage driver with unlimited cellular data, says that he is looking forward to baseball being as challenging as Jason Heyward makes it look on a daily basis.
While not being able to see will surely hurt Baez’s fielding percentage, he hopes that being blindfolded at the plate will help him lay off of two-strike sliders five feet off the plate.
