Chicago Bears Head Coach John Fox held an odd postseason press conference this week and, true to form, was unable to confirm or deny his squad’s participation in Super Bowl LI. Much like his regular season dealings with the media, Fox spoke for several minutes without uttering a single detail of consequence.
“Our team has a lot of work to do and our ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl,” Fox stated. “Whether that goal is reached this year, it’s really hard to say. It’s not that I can’t say. The words are just really hard to get out of my mouth.”
Bears GM Ryan Pace was also unavailable for comment. According to team officials, the McCaskey family returned him to his underground lair beneath Halas Hall. His anticipated return is Groundhog Day 2018.
