While many in the media are making a big deal that Dexter Fowler will be the first black Cubs player to appear in a World Series, they are missing the bigger story: He will also be the first Cub playing in the World Series with a polio vaccine. The same can be said for owning a cell phone, flying in a jet, driving on an interstate and having attended an NBA game.
