Just a day after Packers All-Pro WR Jordy Nelson went down with an ACL tear, delusional Bears fan Steven Dietrich has been thrilled at what he’s considering a “big break” that will dramatically improve Chicago’s chances in the NFC North.
“Nelson’s one of the best receivers in the league,” said Dietrich, of Palatine. “Now he’s out, so that can only help the Bears, right?”
Dietrich went on to acknowledge that Green Bay has better players than the Bears at almost every position, but didn’t let that stop him from further insanity.
“I bet without Nelson the Packers go from winning 12 or 13 games this year to five or six,” said Dietrich. “You know who was supposed to win five or six games? The Bears. Now we’re talking about Green Bay and Chicago being neck and neck in the North. Things just got a lot more interesting.”
