Led by Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ 48 points, Marc Trestman’s team vaulted into first place in the Halas Coach’s Fantasy Football League.
Trestman’s team, called It’s On Me, leaped into first place, grabbing the lead from He’s Got an Ankle, Dave Wannstedt’s team, and Overpriced Pork Chop, owned by Mike Ditka.
“I was really surprised Coach Ditka started Jay Cutler (11 points) over Payton Manning (5 TD passes vs. Oakland),” Trestman said. “I know Jay feels terrible about it.”
Wannstedt’s RB1 Matt Forte had a paltry 8 points. “I was shocked that Matt got just a handful of carries,” said Trestsman.
Lovie Smith’s offense is led by a trio of running backs, the Giants’ Henry Hynoski, Seattle’s Christine Michael, and former Chicago fullback Tyler Clutts, now with the Cowboys.
“We come off the bus running,” Smith said.
Smith’s team is battling to stay out of last place with Abe Gibron’s Pig Roast, a team that hasn’t been proactive in the league since Coach Gibron passed away in 1997.
