The Chicago Cubs acquired 20-year-old, switch-hitting catcher Victor Caratini from the Atlanta Braves. When queried about Caratini by the Atlanta Constitution, Braves Executive VP and GM Frank Wren asked, “Who?”
“We probably signed 150 players last year. I don’t even own a computer, and I sure as hell don’t have cable, so how am I supposed to know who’s in our organization.”
Wren said he’d heard of the two players his team received in the trade, Emilio Bonifacio and James Russell.
“They were great in the remake of Starsky and Hutch,” Wren said
