Redskins owner Daniel Snyder issued a statement Wednesday calling the U.S. Patent office “a bunch of Indian givers” for revoking the team’s trademark of its name.
“We’ve held this trademark for generations,” said Snyder. “You can’t just give it to us and then take it away like a bunch of Indian givers.”
Snyder’s comments caused a stir on Twitter, where most users either likened Snyder to Hitler or blamed President Obama for the controversy.
