The CTA train operator who was piloting a Blue Line train that crashed into a barrier at Chicago’s O’Hare Field after dozing off will throw out the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs home opener.
“We considered Ernie Banks, Billy Williams or another team icon,” a team spokesperson said.
“However, after evaluating all options, we figured what better way to kick-off this season than having a woozy narcoleptic throw out the first pitch for a team whose season is off the tracks before it even begins.”
