Cubs President Theo Epstein won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in “Wrigleyville Hustle,” the story of a baseball executive who perpetrates a ruse on unsuspecting season ticket holders.
In his acceptance speech, Epstein said, “I want to thank the Academy for this award and thanks to the millions of Cub fans around the world who actually think we might win something in the next 10 years.”
Epstein will next star in a remake of “The Music Man” reprising the role of Professor Harold Hill, a fast-talking traveling salesman who goes from town to town selling musical instruments to unwitting citizens to start a boys marching band.
