In an amazing coincidence, Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo blew the same number on a breathalyzer as his current ERA after being stopped for a DUI while driving near Miller Park recently.
“I couldn’t believe it when the officer told me I blew a 6.61,” Gallardo told reporters before his first game back after his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. “Go figure. If I knew I was going to blow that, I’d have played those numbers straight in the Pick Three lottery.”
The Brewers are no strangers to coincidence as former Brew Crew first baseman Prince Fielder’s .415 on-base-percentage often matched his weight.
