Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens do not have the votes necessary to get into the Baseball Hall of Fame. This comes as no surprise to most people, but Sosa is shocked.
“Baseball been very good to me!!!” is all that the former Chicago Cubs slugger could say in English in a fit of rage Friday. His interpreter then translated the rest of his speech saying, “I had the plane tickets bought and hotel reservations, those are non-refundable. How could they not let me in?”
His rejection could be because of the new ethics clause written into the Hall’s election process, relating to the fact that he suddenly forgot English while speaking to congress, or it could be the fact he played much of his career on steroids.
