While many Chicagoans were despondent following the team’s ugly 13-6 loss to the Texans on Sunday night, nobody was more upset than famous Bears fan Chicken Little.
“It’s all over!” he shouted, looking for cover as if the very columns of Soldier Field were going to crumble atop him. “We’re barely still in first place more than halfway through the season! What happens if we lose every game the rest of the year!”
While he was certainly the most vocal worrier, Mr. Little wasn’t the only Bears fan to express concern.
“So are we not going to win every single game?” asked casual fan Mark Benson. “I’m kind of a hater and an idiot, but anyway … this team is crap. Sure, we held one of the top offenses in the league to 13 points, but have the Bears scored more than six points even once this season?”
