The wacky world of off-the-court NBA style took another turn this week when LeBron James showed up for a post-game interview with double monocles replacing his normal lens-less glasses.
“The glasses without lenses was cool for a while, but as I get older I need to look more distinguished, kind of like Mr. Peanut, who’s the most distinguished person I know,” said James. “And he wears a monocle, so I figured I’d one-up him and go for double monocles.”
Added James: “Mr. Peanut also rocks a top hat and cane, so I might do that but T-Pain has that look patented and I have to get his approval first.”
