Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo woke up full of hope this morning, after enjoying a dream in which he was only sacked two dozen times by the Bears defense.
“Obviously the number will be closer to 50 or 60,” he said. “But a guy can dream, right? I mean maybe their entire defensive front will forget to board the plane, and then their linebackers will only get to me a handful of times a series.”
The Cowboys’ offensive line, which is somehow giving up 1.3 sacks per play, goes into Monday night’s game concerned with keeping their quarterback alive.
“Intact, maybe not,” said head coach Jason Garrett. “But alive? We feel that’s a reasonable goal.”
