After joining the Broncos as the most prized free agent of the off-season, Peyton Manning started the preseason with two mediocre games. He finally put together a solid performance last week against the 49ers, but still isn’t convinced he’d burn a first-round fantasy pick on himself this season.
“A first-rounder? Hmmm. I’m not so sure about that,” said Manning, whose stellar career with the Colts came to an end after a year of serious neck surgeries. “Maybe a high second-round pick. I mean, my arm strength really isn’t once was. And what if get blind-sided and hurt my neck again? My season will be over in a literal snap.”
