In an effort to conceal his identity, disgraced Boston Red Sox skipper Bobby Valentine has pulled out an old trick, wearing his fake mustache disguise while in the dugout and conducting postgame press conferences.
“Bobby who?” he recently mused when questioned by reporters. “I’m just Mario the janitor.”
Valentine, who last wore the disguise while managing the Mets, claims the mustache gives him some much-needed anonymity around the players.
“Oh the guys really despise me … er, I mean Bobby. That jerk!” he said. “But now I can just join in when they’re all bashing me behind my back.”
