As many Americans watched in awe as the latest Mars rover, Curiosity, landed on the red planet, the team at ESPN was desperately trying to figure out a way to steer the national conversation back to Tim Tebow and the Jets. That’s when production assistant Bobby Desmond came up with the idea to photoshop Tebow’s face onto images released by NASA.
“What you’re looking at is a live feed of Tim Tebow’s visage on the surface of Mars,” said ESPN football analyst Adam Schefter. “Wow. This is definitely going to create a QB controversy here in the Milky Way … and also at Jets camp.”
