Good news for Yankees fans depressed about CC Sabathia going on the DL Wednesday with a muscle leg strain is that the DL did not break when the hefty ace landed on it.
“Sure, I guess that’s good news,” said Yankees manager Joe Girardi. “Anytime CC lands on something you have be concerned that he might destroy it.”
The DL was shaken, but survived the incident. Sabathia, on the other hand, will be out until after the All-Star break.
