With the highly anticipated Anthony Rizzo era about to being on the North Side, Cubs fans like John Welson are finding themselves tempering their expectations for the young slugger.
“I’ve gotten burned by Cubs prospects before,” said Welson. “No way does Rizzo come in here and set all sorts of records like I thought Corey Patterson, Felix Pie, Mark Prior, Bobby Hill and Tyler Colvin would. Instead, I think he’s only going to hit about 65 HRs and knock in 150 RBI the rest of this season.”
