Following the U.S. soccer team’s stunning, last-second tie with El Salvador, Americans expressed shock and disappointment over the fact they won’t be able to pretend they actually enjoy the sport during the 2012 London Olympics.
“I’ve ignored the sport for almost four years waiting for this moment,” said distraught NFL fan Bob Benson. “Now what am I going to pretend I care about during the Olympics? The javelin throw?”
