Rick Tebow, unattractive older brother of Broncos QB Tim Tebow, was hit with more bad news earlier this week when he was laid off from his overnight job at a Jacksonville-area bottling plant.
“Yeah, you know, it’s just one of those things,” said 27-year-old Rick.”I seem to have pretty terrible luck, but I’ll do what I can to get back on my feet.”
The homely Rick will now be seeking his fifth blue collar job since dropping out of an Orlando-area junior college nearly 10 years ago. Pamela Tebow said this is nothing new for her son, who’s often called “Ugly Rick” behind his back.
“It just seems like nothing ever works out for Rick,” said Pamela. “A lot of people are surprised to learn Rick was actually a better athlete than Tim growing up. It’s just too bad his not nearly as attractive as Tim because it would be sky’s-the-limit for Rick.”
Despite his continued string of bad luck that may be largely based on his fat, disheveled appearance that’s regularly described as “schlubby,” Rick has tried to stay positive about his lot in life.
“I just want to thank my lord and savior for granting me the opportunity to toil the best years of my life in thankless, low-paying factory jobs,” said Rick. “Every day truly is a gift from Jesus, even if my life hasn’t quite turned out as great as my lesser-talented, better-looking brother’s.”
