Blackhawks badboy Daniel Carcillo’s knee surgery Tuesday was successful but it didn’t stop him from roughing up his surgeon after waking up mid-procedure.
“I came to and saw some dude cutting open my knee,” said Carcillo. “In my head I knew he was just trying to fix my injury but instinct took over and I punched him square in mouth.”
Carcillo said he was sorry to knock out 10 of the doctor’s teeth, but stopped short of saying he regretted the incident.
“Sure, the guy was just doing what he was supposed to,” said Carcillo. “but I go all out and if someone crosses me for whatever reason, I have to react.”
