Former American Idol and current X Factor judge Simon Cowell was not impressed with the Bears’ offensive showing against the Packers on Sunday, labeling it the worst performance he’s seen in his 10 years at Fox.
“Absolutely, positively dreadful,” he said. “No rhythm at all. Sometimes I wonder if Mike Martz is fit to run his dishwasher, let alone an NFL offense. I’ve seen drunk turkeys with more rhythm than that sorry excuse for an offense.”
Atop Cowell’s list of complaints was the lack of a running game.
“They purposely chose to ignore the one thing that works for them,” said Cowell, speaking of Matt Forte and the ground attack. “It would be like watching Beyonce try to play the guitar. Why doesn’t she just dance?”
