The White Sox surprised many Friday when they signed free agent 1B/DH Adam Dunn to a four-year, $56 million contract. Dunn was in Chicago to talk with the media about his new deal.
“Me play baseball for White Stockings now,” said Dunn who has 354 HRs and 880 RBIs in his 10-year career. “Dunn hit ball … faaaaaaar!!!”
Dunn said he wasn’t concerned about anchoring the White Sox light-hitting lineup, even though he routinely leads the league in strikeouts and has more than 1,600 in his career.
“Sometime Dunn strike out,” said Dunn. “And that make Dunn annnnnngry!”
