The Cowboys were stunned, losing to the New York Giants 21-17 Sunday, but Dallas QB Tony Romo not only lost the game, he lost blond superstar girlfriend Jessica Simpson.
Romo had bet Simpson’s affections in a friendly wager with Giants quarterback Eli Manning, and now Manning has to court the blond celebrity. Romo found himself quoting Tina Turner after the game.
“What’s love got to do with it?” Romo said. “I lost the bet and now Jessica’s with Eli.”
Manning said he couldn’t wait to take Simpson to Green Bay next week.
“Second fiddle doesn’t matter, man. She’s awesome,” Manning said. “Maybe Peyton will sit with her while I go out and take care of business in the NFC Championship game.”
